TKFM General Donation
TKFM is a faith-based non-profit, that is proactively seeking and providing support to families who are facing struggling times within the Edmond, Oklahoma Community. Our projects aim to supply meals, spiritual guidance, and resources for good mental and physical health. We help assist our recipients’ journeys through acts of kindness, prayer, and the love of Jesus Christ. Along with community partners and generous donors, we strive to add hope and comfort to those we serve.
What's Next for TKFM?
•Monthly Texa Boxes
With the help of Community Partners and friends of TKFM ~ we have organized a monthly household helper box with non-food items for families with children in need within the Edmond Area.
If you would like to specifically help us fulfill this much needed gift for these families, you can donate HERE.
•Learn to Swim & Lunch Program
This TKFM program was designed and created to provide free swimming lessons and lunches to Edmond Children in a designated low-income housing unit this summer. In honor of our daughter Texa, who was extremely passionate about swimming at a senior elite level, we hope to provide lessons to children who would not otherwise have the resources to do so.
The goal of this project is to not only teach swimming techniques at all levels but to also culminate with a swim meet. Not only do we hope that this program is a successful annual event but also a model project for other communities to adopt. TKFM and community volunteers will coordinate the times, coaches, and lunch for each child attending.
A favorite coach of Texa and a dear friend to us, hosted a swim clinic earlier this year and 100% of the proceeds went to fund this summer project. We are very grateful to Coach Hogan Thomas and his volunteers for taking on this fundraiser and providing a terrific foundation of financial support.
We are also working on an amazing program to coincide with the swim lessons called Good Vibes that will help coach the participants in positive thinking, moral support and goal setting.
Lunch & a Snack will be provided to each participant free of charge throughout the 6-week program 4 times per week. This is a great need in our community right now as the funding for summer lunches through the school system will not be available.
Any help that you can give us to reach our goal for this program is very appreciated. You can donate here on this page.
•Share The Love Thanksgiving Dinner
After a very successful first Share The Love Thanksgiving Dinner project (HERE)~ we are looking forward to providing even more meals to families that would otherwise not have this very special tradition. We couldn't have done this great undertaking of feeding 385+ families (over 2,400 individuals) in the Edmond Community without a great deal of help from community partners, friends of TKFM and a terrific group of volunteers. Please consider helping us again as we work to make the 2023 Share The Love Thanksgiving Dinner reach more families in need in our community.
